Hello Lovelies! Let me introduce myself. I am Francesca, mama behind the blog Green Glam Girl. I began my journey into cleaner and greener products around 5 years ago. Of course hair care was on the list to change up. It was a lot of trial and error. As you may have noticed on your own journey, not all clean shampoos and conditioners are created equal. 

I do not have ‘simple’ hair by any means. My hair is thick and curly, which tends to be dry, so I can’t wash it multiple times a week. If I’m being honest, and don’t beat me up for this, but after all these years I still haven’t embraced the curls.
Now I’m going to let you in on a not so secret, secret... I have a weekly appointment at the salon for a blow out. (cue the shock emoji or the heart emoji LOL)

I know I know!! Straightening curls?!?!? I have what people pay a lot of $$ for or strive to do with a curling iron every day. But, you know how it goes, the age old, we all want what we don’t have. And I want straight hair!! So sue me!!

OFF TO THE SALON

So my weekly self-care is my ‘hair therapy’ as I like to call it. I go to the salon and someone else washes and blow drys my hair. Heaven!

You may be wondering how can I still maintain my clean and non toxic hair care if I go to the salon? I bring my own products!! Yes you read right. My two hair stylists that I have been going to these last few years never mind one bit! In fact they are always excited to see what new product I have up my sleeve.

For the past year I’ve been going to Kayla at Salon Odette where you feel like you are at home with your friends. This is the environment, Odette Scaco, owner and hair stylist, created for her space. I love it.

Kayla is the sweetest with baby #2 on the way which is par for the course for me. Every time I start with a new hair stylist she gets prego and goes on maternity leave. Moral of the story, if you are wanting to have a baby - come do my hair! LOL!

Ok so what do I bring? 

When I first started seeing Kayla I brought a few different brands of clean (non toxic) shampoo and conditioner. But when I brought EVOLVh SmartColor, it was a game changer. Even Kayla was all kinds of impressed! 

The shampoo and conditioner reduced the time it took to blow dry my hair. Also my hair was visibly softer and shinier. The Leave-In Conditioner spray helped calm the frizzies. Those factors were what I had been missing since I went green. No more!

It’s been six months since I started using EVOLVh and I can say for sure that EVOLVh SmartColor shampoo and conditioner are my hair saviors. Is that dramatic?!?!
