#GirlCrush: Daniella Of Kinder Beauty Box

We've been crushing on the Kinder Beauty Box for a while, but now that we've gotten to know founders Daniella Monet and Evanna Lynch, we're crushing on them BIG TIME. How did you and Evanna meet? When and how did you decide to start a business together?
We met through a mutual friend who helped us conceive the idea of a 100% vegan & cruelty free subscription box. We work really well together and both bring something different to the company, which has really assisted with the growth of Kinder Beauty.
When did you first realize you wanted to become a conscious consumer? What were the first changes you made to your lifestyle to reflect this decision?
Naturally, I became a conscious consumer at a young age by choosing to go vegan. Removing all animal products from my lifestyle allowed me to support companies that were making an impact on the lives of animals. As an adult, it’s been exciting to see more and more companies make the choice to go cruelty free.
How do you and Evanna decide which products go into a Kinder Beauty Box each month?
The products we choose for our box have to of course be vegan & cruelty free, but most of all, we have to love them. It’s especially exciting to work with companies that are aligned with our mission, whether they donate a portion of their proceeds or use recyclable materials, anything that helps make a difference. Some partners we find via a quick search or word of mouth, others we hear about from our subscribers. We have an amazing group of supporters, and we want to provide them with a box that enhances their lifestyle, so we are constantly listening to their wants as well!
How did you think of the name, “Kinder Beauty?” What’s the meaning behind it?
I loved the words Kind, Kindness, and Kinder. We mutually believe that beauty shouldn’t come without kindness, so Kinder Beauty was the perfect fit.
How do you hope to help the brands you work with?
We hope that by giving them a larger reach via our network and platform we can support them in getting more exposure. Our following is strong and vocal and they care about supporting conscious companies as do we.
When you’re not running your business or acting, what are some of your hobbies and interests? How do you ensure there’s enough balance between work and play in your daily routine?
I often spend my downtime working out, walking my dogs, or spending time with my fiancé. I’m about 6.5 months pregnant right now, so I’ve been doing a lot of nesting to get ready for the arrival of our baby boy. Life is pretty exciting right now, and I’m loving that part of so many passion projects.
